I do love that within two clicks of that link I was at analogue haven. And looking at really awesome $500 synth pedals.

    Why I hate Bryan:

He innocently links to a site that is linked to analogue haven… so I end up at analogue haven. I start perusing their pedals. I see the pigtronix guitar synth pedal. It costs almost $500. Now I want a pedal I don’t need.

    I hate you Bryan.

Dude, it’s not my fault you have good taste.

I have never seen that PIgtronix pedal before — it is fucking AWESOME. Both the effect side and the synth-only stuff when you lose the dry signal?? so cool.

In other news, I’ve now decided to not get rid of the Tele… because after tweaking my amp and everything for it I’m really realizing how nice a guitar it is — both sounding and playing. Loving it. Tweak the amp EQ and throw some Fuzz Factory or Tubescreamer on it and it’s awesome.

The hollow-body lust has not abated, however. Both the MuRF and the Dave Smith Evolver are now sitting in their boxes in anticipation of Ebayage so I can afford the hollow-body.

Depending on how some of the Epi’s and lower cost 335-style guitars play, it may be the Les Paul that’s on the shopping block. Played an Epiphone Sheraton II vs. a proper Gibson 335 last weekend — unplugged to hear the difference in resonance, sustain, etc — and it was night and day. Epi played alright, and seemed “fine” — but the real 335 was INCREDIBLE. Like it was alive in your hands.

    I hate/love gear.
