The Creation of Indiana Jones

If you’re a fan of Raiders of the Lost Ark in any way, shape, or form, you should go check out Mystery Man’s blog posting on The “Raiders” Story Conference.  Also included is a link to the actual transcript from the original brainstorming session between George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Lawrence Kasdan.

Amazing for any movie fan, essential for any writer.

WTF? Of The Day

Found outside the parking structure at Disneyland.

Is this really something the general public should be given access to? WTF?

DONE!

Today’s update — FINISHED THE FIRST DRAFT OF THE TV PILOT.

This, of course, is just the first benchmark along many to come, but after writing off and on without being able to see something to completion for years now; having finally quit my day job, sat down, and started working, and finished something — particularly something that didn’t even exist in my head until about five weeks ago… Well it feels pretty damn satisfying. Like I want to hang out on an aircraft carrier with my codpiece or something.

Plus I was able to crank 10 pages a day and finish this thing within the week as planned.

FEELS PRETTY FUCKING GOOD.

Okay. That’s all. Just wanted to share. The future holds rewrites, tweaks, send-outs out to friends for noteage, and doing the same kind of ass kicking output on 2 BR 2 BA.

But for now, I’m just gonna go try to see Watchmen. Word.
